"What are your fees?"

Fees depend on several things, such as time, date, place. What size equipment is required for the event location. Events could range from $400.00-$5000.00 for a 1 day event.

"What is the deposit to hold the date? When is the balance due?"

Generally, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon signing a contract. If the total of services exceeds $1000, there would be no larger deposit than $500.

We accept personal checks up to two weeks prior to the event date, but if you care to square things up on the date of your reception, we accept certified checks, cash, and money orders upon arrival at the location. Overtime may be paid upon completion of your event in cash or personal check.

"Can we reserve a specific DJ for our event?"

You can leave the decision up to us or choose one person that you like from a list of experienced emcees assuming they are available at the time of your booking.

"Can we give you songs to play at our event?"

Absolutely. We recommend a list of songs you want and those that you DON'T want as well. Keep in mind that the list should be no more than twenty individual songs that you want, and highlight the top five that you can't live without hearing.

"Are there any additional charges that will be sprung on us at the last minute?"

No way!! We disclose all fees at the time of the initial phone call.

"What is a 'Crossover' function?"

A crossover function is when an event overlaps two "timeslots". On any given Saturday, a disc jockey can perform an event from 12p.m. to 5p.m. and then get to another location to perform from 7p.m. to 12a.m. Thus, an example of a crossover party would run from 3p.m. to 8p.m.

"Is there ever a fee for a 'crossover' event?"

It depends on the season and availability. Generally speaking, Saturdays during May, June, September, October, and December are considered to be peak times, and a crossover fee may apply if a function covers two time slots. This fee is usually $200 when applicable.

"Can we meet with you or see you live?"

We meet with clients now on an appointment basis: Monday thru Friday.  If you want to see us live after that, we will give you a few dates on where we will be playing. We do not invite clients to see us live at wedding receptions, as we would not allow anyone to come to your wedding.

"What kind of music do you play?"

Whatever is appropriate for your event. If Starz Entertainment is hired to do karaoke at your event there are over 20,000 songs in our library. Each person would , of course, pick thier own song. Some songs could be inappropriate for your event and all will be screened upon your request. We want your event to be a very memorable occasion for you and your guest.

"What makes your entertainment company different from other companies?"

Besides the professional disc jockeys dressed appropriately and high quality sound systems, the following is a list of a few extra advantages that we offer to our clients:

Individual attention to details - We are at the level where most companies wish to be, small enough to offer individual attention for the special day, but large enough to offer insurance, emergency bookings, and consistent quality. We want to extend a helping hand in all aspects of your event planning.

References, references, references - All of our information packages don't just include references about the company as a whole. There are pages within the packet that would have phone numbers and letters from satisfied clients over the past couple of years. This helps to reinforce our extremely high referral rates that our entertainers have.

Experience - 5 years experience in wedding receptions; all of our entertainers have over 100 events under their belt before they go out on their own. The average training period is 6 months.
